Transportation
The Gateway Chapter provides free transportation for our veterans to local VA Medical Centers for treatments and to various other activities. We also transport area veteran members to activities in the community like trapshooting, monthly luncheons at the Jefferson Barracks Spinal Cord Unit, personal errands and our fall picnic. We are currently transporting hospitalized spinal cord patients, who are able to go, to stores and activities near the Jefferson Barracks spinal cord unit. We employ two part-time drivers, who work 4-5 days per week.
The Gateway Chapter PVA Transportation Program operates its programs and services without regard to race, color, or national origin, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. If you believe you have been discriminated against on the basis of race, color, or national origin by the Gateway Chapter PVA Transportation Program, you may view the procedures for filing a Title VI complaint by following this link.
