After a few years, the Local VA Wheelchair Games is BACK!
On May 10th, the patio of JB building 52 was packed full of veterans, staff, and volunteers for the VA Local Wheelchair Games. After a week of heavy storms and gloom, the sun shined as Veterans participated in various athletic events such as bowling, boccia, frisbee golf, javelin, obstacle course racing, shooting, and CrossFit workouts…and new this year, rock climbing!
The day opened with a ribbon cutting of the new rock climbing wall and people lined up to take on the towering challenge. It was a jam-packed day with competition, laughs, and lunch! We can’t wait for next year.
